As an investor I would invest in the invention of an Sudsee (future laundry).
I would invest in this because I believe this would be a very great asset to busy households and colleges. This will save time for students, parents, and household owners. This high tech laundry would be beneficial to a wide variety of people. I believe this product will be very successful and sell an abundant amount. 

EZ CHARGE

EZ Charge

Everything today is revolved around technology and the newest, latest thing. New products come out every day, some successful, some not so much. Investors are investing in products that appeal to large crowds of people. They are looking for a product that will make consumers lives easier and products that are very useful.

When thinking of a product to create that would be successful and creative, three ideas came to mind. The first idea was mood boots, which would have been rain boots that change color as your mood changes, similar to that of a mood ring. The second idea was a straw that would of used a person’s taste bud to change a simple cup of water into what they are truly thirsty for. The third and last idea was a light bulb that would charge all electronics without the hassle of wires. Realistically, the second idea was almost impossible, and the first would attract only a certain group of people. Therefore, the most realistic and reasonable product was idea number three.

This product is called EZ Charge. The name came from the fact that it is a new easy way to charge any electronic device with a rechargeable battery. The light bulb would be a navy blue color and relatively look like a common black light. Also, to help the environment, it is a type of CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) bulb, which lasts about eight times longer then an incandescent bulb while using one quarter the energy of incandescent bulbs, which will reduce the amount of greenhouse gases released into the environment and decrease global warming.  The EZ Charge would fit any Watt A socket.

The EZ Charge would eliminate that hassle and mess of wires and cords. It will also save people the aggravation of looking for their cell phone chargers, computer/ laptop chargers, etc. With today’s technology, almost every product has a rechargeable batter that must be plugged in, in order to recharge. Offices and households that use a lot of electronic appliances would benefit from this product. The target audience of this appliance is owners of technical appliances that are thirteen years of age or older.

The EZ Charge will start off being advertised on commercials, billboards, and in magazines. The TV commercial would be featured on FOX. It will basically be a businessman comes home from a stressful day of work and taking his first step causing him to trip over a mass amount of wires charging all sorts of appliances. He will look at the wall seeing the wires and cords feeding out everywhere and rip them out of the wall throwing them into the garbage can. Then he will take the EZ charge light bulb plug it into a lamp and place his cell phone, laptop, Mp3etc under the light bulb. In the matter of second the fully charged sign will pop up and he will sigh with relief. It will be a silent commercial with strictly sound affects for dramatization. This commercial will last all of 30 seconds and cost anywhere from $248,000 during CSI to almost $3 million during super bowl. Since 2009, Fox has been available to 102 million households worldwide.

The billboard will be displayed on The Jersey Turnpike, Exit 16. This is near the meadowlands, and it’s a common road for a variety of people that would be interested in the EZ Charge. The billboard will be of a man tangled in wires reaching for a single light bulb. It will be black and white but the light will be bright yellow. The billboard is very simple and will say Living Innovated and at the bottom say Call 1-800-EZCHARGE. The other billboards will consist of the same picture and say a step forward for mankind. These are the slogans because they both express the feeling of living a new life with a new product; taking a step forward with new technology. This will cost about $900 per month because of the location and color. It would be advertised from September to January, when businesses and schools start over.

The magazine would be seen in US Weekly. The cost would range from $2,000 to $4,000 depending on color for a year. The magazine advertisement would be similar to the billboard. It would be a page cut in half one-side dark and one sidelight. The dark side would be a messy room with wires everywhere while the light side is a clean organized room with the EZ Charge light and electronics organized underneath.

The EZ Charge will be competing with a similar product called the Duracell Wireless Charge pad. The EZ Charge light bulb is a better catch then the Duracell Charge pad for many reasons. One, the light bulb is lighter and more eco friendly. Also, while the charge pad can only hold up to a certain amount of things, the EZ charge can charge up to a variety of appliances regardless of the weight.

This product will be very successful and useful to its consumers. This is a new advancement in technology and will be a step forward for mankind.

Investor Investing in...AID Connect- Kelly Russel

As an investor I would invest in Kelly Russel's invention of an AID Connect (Audio Texting Device)
I would invest in this because I believe students of all ages all over the world could benefit from this product. It would also benefit students with disabilities like students that cannot write or hear. I also believe that this product is a mix of all competitors products so the AID Connect would outsell all other similar products. I chose the AID Connect over the Clean Slate and Smart class because I believe their product focuses on a slimmer group of consumers while the AID Connect focuses on a wider range of ages and variety of students from elementary school to even students in Grad School. This product will also help the over use of paper and increase in global warming because we are eliminating the use of pens, pencils, and paper. This product is overall at an advantage.

Wall-E

Wall-E is a Disney- Pixar film which is recognized for its original use of sound, characters, story line, etc. The main characters used in this film include Wall-E, Eve, and The Captain. Wall- E is a waste collecting robot back on Earth who cleans up the debris left by a tragic accident eliminating life on Earth. Eve is a robot, sent down from a spaceship full of human life, who is put on Earth to find any source of human life left on Earth. While on Earth, she meets Wall- E who at first annoys here and then slowly appears very sweet. Wall- E falls in love with Eve and tries to do everything in his power to make sure nothing happens to her. Not knowing why she was put on earth, Wall-E presents Eve with a sprout that he found in a boot while cleaning up waste. As soon as eve sees the plant, she goes into some sort of lockdown and the ship soon after comes to get her. The ship soon comes to take Eve and Wall-E gets onto the ship because he does not want to lose Eve. When entering the ship Wall- E is faced with a whole new form of life. The ship is filled with tons of over weight people led by one obese captain. The purpose of the ship is to hold a place for humans until Earth is ready for life. The only negative part about this ship is that it does anything in its power to keep the people on for as long as possible. WHen the plant is brought to the ship it is quickly taken and almost thrown out by another robot. Wall-E 's mission on this ship is not only to save eve but to also decide the fate of man kind.
What is very unique about this film is that for most of the film there is no words. It's made up of noises and slight music. The closest thing to actual words said in the first half of the movie is strictly the names Wall- E and Eve and those aren't even human voices. As the movie progresses the audio and words within the film increase. The captain talks along with the other humans on the ship. Another interesting quality about this film is the way they portray emotion. Without words the emotions of Wall- E and Eve are very clear. We also see the love Wall-E has for Eve without him even talking. The emotional quality of this film is very unique and intense.
I believe this film has a wide spread range of audience. Because of the audio, characters, story line and originality of this film, the movie is seen as very unique and different then many films out there. I enjoyed watching it and I would most definitely watch it again.

Chris Brown vs. Rihanna

Chris Brown’s physical abuse towards Rihanna was a big controversy in the media in 2009. The news, magazines, interviews, and much more were spreading the news about the confrontation that happened between the two celebrities.

New York Daily News states that the domestic abuse started when Chris Brown started receiving text messages from other women. Supposedly as soon as Rihanna saw the text messages, she tried to leave his car, which led to an argument causing Chris Brown to grab her and force her back into the car. As soon as Rihanna pulled away, Chris Brown was said to have “hit her” giving her “visible injuries”. New York Daily out the full blame on Chris Brown and explained the abuse of Rihanna to give great sympathy towards her and against Mr. Brown.

The video interview posted on starpulse.com focuses on the consequences of Chris Brown’s actions towards singer, Rihanna. This video shares information about the restraining order Rihanna has on Chris Brown. It reports that Chris Brown was charged in 2009 for assault. He did in fact plead guilty to what happened and had to attend a year of domestic counseling. Aside from the restraining order, Chris Brown remains on probation for about five years. Two years after the domestic abuse, Rihanna decides to drop the restraining order on Chris Brown. She did this to make things “less awkward” at the grammas. Also, after the abuse made on Rihanna she came out with the song “Love the Way You Lie”, which is about domestic abuse debated to be connected to the abuse committed by Chris Brown.

Both articles share a different amount of importance that revolved around the fight. While New York Daily focused on the actual fight and how everything started, Star Pulse focused in on the actual legal consequences put on Chris Brown by Rihanna. This goes to show that different sources of media concentrate and feel more strongly on different parts of stories and situations.

Now, since a few years have passed since the fight, I notice a lot more similarities and differences that occur throughout the media. Whereas when the fight first leaked, I didn’t really know what to believe or the great detail of what actually went on. Since each source that talks about the fight is so different, I can only believe and listen to what every article, video, picture, and interview have in common. In this case, I do believe that Chris Brown was and is guilty but at the same time I do not put all the blame on him because no one knows or can back up that Rihanna didn’t push him to this point or cross the line with him. By saying this, I am not saying it is okay for domestic abuse to take place but, I am saying no one really knows what happened accept the two of them.

War of The Worlds

In the 1930’s War of the Worlds triggered many thoughts and ideas within the listeners brains. It opened the eyes and thoughts of everyone listening. War of the Worlds allowed us to think “What if”? “What if Martians took over the world? If Martians ever took over the world a various amount of things could happen. Depending on how people imagine things would turn out and extend the possibility of what could actually happen. If Martians took over the world, it could have a positive or negative outcome.

            On a positive aspect, we can believe that Martians could add power and order to our world. If the Martians were there for the good, they would be able to fix the impossible, cure the illnesses, simplify government, and overall put more organization to our world. The presence of Martians could invent things that we would never think of. They would be able to give our world a new perspective. If Martians actually were how they seem to be in the media, then they would also be beneficial to the everyday lives of humans. Acting like butlers, assistants, nanny’s, and duplicates could be the role that these Martians take over. This would helpful for us and most definitely advantageous.

            On a negative aspect, Martians could completely destroy our world. This could become possible if the Martians basically sucked our brains dry and brain washed us humans with their ideas of living and behaviors. They could have the power to turn us against each other and the law. Martians could persuade and brainwash us to live under their ruling and make us their slaves. If the Martians were negative and anti-humans, they could even kill us all and take over our world as their own.

 Like what we see in movies, we may get the idea that Martians have complete and total control over our every action. In reality, if there is such Martians our there and if they did ever arrive onto our territory in our world, they most likely will not be capable of taking over our brains and bodily functions.  If we think more into it, the most the Martians could probably do to harm us would be to threaten us or take control of our government and presidency. By them controlling what laws could be put into action or what the legal standards could be in any condition, they could ruin every inch of discipline this world already has.

Referring back to the 1930’s, War of the Worlds broadcast, we can be convinced that the presence and life of Martians may actually exist and be crucial for us to be prepared for. By having the public listen to this broadcast, they are already brainwashing us about the idea of Martians even coming to our world. Because no matter if it is scientifically proven that it is possible, by all the broadcasts and media, the most bizarre ideas and predictions are being forced into the minds of each human being. 

Which Side Do You Use?

After taking the Hemispheric Dominance Test, I learned that I am a left brained person. The type of cognitive processing I use consists of Linear, Sequential, Symbolic, Logical, Verbal, and Reality- Based.
By being Linear rather then Holistic,  in order to reach a conclusion I arrange things in a logical order and then figure it out from there.
I am sequential rather then random because I make lists and right down things in order to fully remember them.
I am symbolic rather then Concrete because I understand symbols more then words.
I am Logical rather then Intuitive because I find answers by putting pieces together instead of just doing what "feels" right.
I am verbal rather then nonverbal because i barely have any trouble expressing myself in words.
I am reality based rather then Fantasy- oriented because I know the consequences of change and I know when I am wrong.

I agree with most of what is said about my left brain being more dominant. Some things are not so accurate but most explain my way of thinking right on the dot.
